Survival course to learn English from scratch
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDY
1- watch the video. 2- watch it again repeating after the teacher. 3- read the transcript (optional), see if you understand. 4- watch the video again once or more times until you learn the lesson well. 5- now try to use some objects to reproduce the dialogue (more or less) so you can practise what you just learnt.

Mi nombre está en la parte de abajo (recuerda que el verbo ser y estar son un solo verbo en inglés, así que IS puede equivaler a ES o a ESTÁ.
This is a box = Esto es una caja.
My name is on the bottom = Mi nombre está en la caja.
Recuerda también la diferencia entre las preposiciones IN (dentro de) y ON (sobre una superficie):
The apple is IN the box. The box is ON the table. My name is ON the bottom.
En la última frase ON no puede traducirse por "sobre" o "encima de", pero sigue siendo la idea de "en contacto con una superficie", que puede ser la mesa, la pared, o el techo. En español en todos esos ejemplos solemos usar la preposición EN (en la caja, en la mesa, en la pared, en el techo).
This is a glass Esto es un vaso.
This box is open. Now it's closed Esta caja está abierta. Ahora está cerrada
