Español

Excuse me, what did you say? = Disculpa, ¿qué has dicho?
Igual que hemos usado DO para hacer preguntas en el presente, si usamos DID las preguntas se transforman en pasado. En las negativas, DON'T niega el presente, y si usamos DIDN'T estamos negando en pasado:
- I don't know = no sé
- I didn't know = no sabía

Where in the box? = ¿en qué parte de la caja?
On the left side? = ¿en el lado izquierdo?
In the middle = en el medio
Right in the middle = justo en el medio
Podemos usar RIGHT para enfatizar el tiempo y el espacio:
- I want it right here and right now = lo quiero aquí mismo y ahora mismo.

Between the apples = entre las manzanas
How's that? = ¿qué tal así? (literalmente significa "¿cómo es eso?")
One more thing = una cosa más, otra cosa
Let's try this = vamos a intentar esto, vamos a probar así
Which side? = ¿qué lado? (usamos WHICH, y no WHAT, cuando tenemos que elegir entre varias opciones, parecido al español "¿cuál?")
This CD is leaning to the left= este CD está inclinado a la izquierda
It's leaning against the box ) está apoyado contra la caja
Move it to the other side = muévelo hacia el otro lado
Anything else? = ¿algo más?
