Survival course to learn English from scratch
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDY
1- watch the video. 2- watch it again repeating after the teacher. 3- read the transcript (optional), see if you understand. 4- watch the video again once or more times until you learn the lesson well. 5- now try to use some objects to reproduce the dialogue (more or less) so you can practise what you just learnt.

The biggest one = El más grande.
The smallest one = El más pequeño.
The small glass = El vaso pequeño.
The other one = El otro.
Yes, that one = Sí, ese.
Fíjate que casi siempre estamos usando ONE en lugar de GLASS, para no repetir la palabra. En español muchas veces podemos simplemente omitir el sustantivo, por ejemplo, si estamos hablando de libros podemos decir: quiero el grande / dame ese / No, quiero el otro / compraré el rojo. En todas esas frases la palabra LIBRO queda sobreentendida, pero en inglés eso casi nunca se puede hacer, si no queremos repetir el sustantivo tenemos que usar ONE como pronombre la mayor parte de las veces.
El adjetivo va delante del sustantivo (the small glass), y nunca puede ir sólo, si no va seguido de un sustantivo va seguido de un pronombre, pero para decir "el grande" hay que decir "the big one".
