INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDY
1- watch the video. 2- watch it again repeating after the teacher. 3- read the transcript (optional), see if you understand. 4- watch the video again once or more times until you learn the lesson well. 5- now try to use some objects to reproduce the dialogue (more or less) so you can practise what you just learnt.

Excuse me = disculpa / oye
It's too dark = está demasiado oscuro
I can't see anything = no veo nada (no puedo ver nada)
Would you turn on the light? = ¿te importaría encender la luz?
Excuse me? = ¿perdón? / ¿mande? / ¿cómo dice? / ¿qué?
EXCUSE ME 
Esta expresión se usa para llamar la atención de alguien, para que nos escuche. En esta conversación vemos ese uso y también un segundo uso: en forma interrogativa se usa para indicar que no has entendido lo que te han dicho y quieres que te lo repitan.
I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING Los verbos de los sentidos y de la mente (ver, oir, comprender) pueden negarse con DON'T como todos, pero a menudo se niegan con CAN'T, así que en lugar de decir "no veo" es más habitual decir "no puedo ver".
ANYTHING Esta palabra se traduce por "nada" si va en una frase negativa, pero en inglés no es una palabra negativa, sigue las mismas reglas que hemos visto para el uso de SOME y ANY:
- I need something = necesito algo
- I don't need anything = no necesito nada
- I need nothing = no necesito nada
- Do you need anything? = ¿necesitas algo?
