Survival course to learn English from scratch
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDY
1- watch the video. 2- watch it again repeating after the teacher. 3- read the transcript (optional), see if you understand. 4- watch the video again once or more times until you learn the lesson well. 5- now try to use some objects to reproduce the dialogue (more or less) so you can practise what you just learnt.
1- mira el vídeo. 2- míralo otra vez repitiendo tras el profesor. 3- lee las explicaciones. 4- mira el video de nuevo hasta aprenderte
la lección bien. 5- ahora intenta usar algunos objetos para reproducir por tu cuenta el diálogo (más o menos) y así practicar lo aprendido.

- Oh, reading the paper. Reading the paper, drinking coffee, listening to music. Why?
- Oh, are you going to the store today? We.. we need a few things. We need milk. We're almost out of sugar.

- Tom, qué estás haciendo?
- Oh, leyendo el periódico. Leyendo el periódico, bebiendo café, escuchando música. ¿Por qué?
- Oh, vas a ir a la tienda hoy? Necesitamos unas cuantas cosas. Necesitamos leche. Casi se nos ha acabado el azucar.
- De acuerdo.
Vemos lo que se llama el "presente continuo" (verbo to be + -ing)
- I listen to music = escucho música (presente simple)
- I am listening to music = estoy escuchando música (presente continuo)
El presente continuo se utiliza para hablar de lo que sucede en este instante:
- Now I am watching TV = ahora estoy viendo la tele
Pero también se puede usar, como vemos en este vídeo, para hablar de lo que pensamos hacer en el futuro:
- Tonight I am watching TV = esta noche voy a ver la tele
store (inglés americano) = shop (inglés británico)
