As I'm writing this, this video can only be viewed directly on YouTube, so you can start the video and click on the link that will show, or click here to go directly there: Tell the Time in English.
Para aprender a decir la hora en inglés. Resumen:
3:00- It's three o'clock = Son las tres
3:15- It's quarter past three = Son las tres y cuarto
3:30- It's half past three = Son las tres y media
3:40- It's twenty to four = son las 4 menos veinte (veinte para las 4)
3:45- It's quarter to four = Son las 4 menos cuarto (cuarto para las 4)
4:05- It's five past four = Son las cuatro y cinco
Si los minutos no son múltiplos de 5 tenemos que usar la palabra "minutes" (que suena algo así como "minits"):
4:07- It's seven minutes past four = Son las cuatro y siete minutos
También es posible decir la hora en formato digital. Esto es más frecuente en Estados Unidos que en Inglaterra:
5:25 = It's five twenty-five.
Mira abajo más explicaciones.
