Español

Aprende a hablar de profesiones. Este vídeo tiene entrevistas callejeras. La segunda parte viene con subtítulos.

- I'm an actor = soy actor
- a gardener = jardinero
- a police officer = agente de policía
- a musician = músico
- a librarian = bibliotecario
- a nurse = enfermera
- a taxi driver = taxista
- a salesman = vendedor (viajante)
- a hairdresser = peluquero
- I'm unemployed at the moment = estoy desempleado en estos momentos
- a traffic warden = guardia de tráfico

-----------------------------
- I'm a doctor = soy médico (literalmente: soy un médico)

- what is your job? (=¿cuál es tu trabajo?)
- what do you do? (= ¿qué haces?, ¿a qué te dedicas?)
- what's your porfession (=¿cuál es tu profesión?)

Explanations

Just remember we always put the article a/an before the name of professions in the singular. There are 3 different question:

- What is your job?
- I'm a teacher

- What do you do?
- I'm a doctor
- I'm a student. They are students too

- What is her profession?
- She's a scientist
