Why is there advertising on this website?

On the one hand I hate to see publicity on my site, I’ve really resisted that for years. But building, keeping and updating it is way too expensive for one single person to maintain. Dedication is free, but there’s a lot more to it than just time and hard work. Many of you surely remember when I had to close the site for lack of money. With some help and donations I could reopen it but that was just a temporary patch.

Charging money for the service is out of the question, my website was born to help people and keeping it all free is a must. So I finally made up my mind to open my site to publicity. And here it is, the old nagging neighbour living next door has now turned into the helping friend that will save our website and keep it free for you, so if he is still a bit of a nuisance sometimes... please, bear with him and remember he’s here to save your day and save you money.
