Transcript

I cannot go to school today
Because I have a big headache.
Oh, that's too bad!
Oh, that's too bad!

I cannot eat the pie with you
Because I have a stomach ache.
Oh, that's too bad!
Oh, that's too bad!

But it's ok,
'cause I have you.
You like me just the way I am,
Just the way I am.

When I can't go to school today
And I can't eat the pie with you
I am ok, I am ok
Because of you.

I cannot play outside today
Because I have three extra legs.
Oh, that's too bad!
Oh, that's too bad!

I cannot go swimming with you
Because I have to wash my hair.
Oh, that's too bad!
Oh, that's too bad!

But it's ok,
'cause I have you.
You like me just the way I am,
Just the way I am.

When I can't play outside today
And I can't go swimming with you
I am ok, I am ok
Because of you.

That's too bad = I'm sorry for you

Español

Aquí hay una cancioncilla para practicar la conjunción BECAUSE.

BECAUSE = porque...
Usamos esta preposición para explicar el motivo de algo:
- I'm late because I missed the bus = llego tarde porque perdí el autobús.
'CAUSE = forma coloquial de "because"
- I want to be with you 'cause I love you = quiero estar contigo porque te quiero.

- I can't go because it's raining = no puedo ir porque está lloviendo
- I can't go because of the rain = no puedo ir por la lluvia (a causa de la lluvia)

TRADUCCIÓN:

No puedo ir a la escuela hoy
porque tengo un gran dolor de cabeza.
Vaya, ¡qué lástima!
Vaya, ¡qué lástima!

No puedo comer tarta contigo
porque tengo dolor de estómago.
Vaya, ¡qué lástima! x2

Pero no pasa nada
porque te tengo a ti.
Yo te gusto del modo que soy,
Justo como yo soy.

Cuando no puedo ir a la escuela hoy
y no puedo comer tarta contigo
estoy bien, estoy bien
por ti (a causa de ti).

2ª parte:

No puedo jugar fuera hoy
porque tengo tres piernas de más.
No puedo ir a nadar contigo
porque tengo que lavarme el pelo
Pero no pasa nada...
