Description

Inside of you there is a woman with the power to change the world...

(An inspirational message)

Transcript

You are beautiful, you are smart, you are funny, you are kind, you are unique.

You are worthy of love and affection, you are never too much and you are always enough.

You are precious, you are a diamond, a rose, a pearl, the most stunning of all God's creations.

You are worth more than you can ever imagine.

Worth more than the numbers on a scale or the hair product you use or the shoes you wear.

More than how many girls wish they were you or how many guys wish they had you.

More than the price tags on your clothes or the percentage on the top of your math test or even the number of followers you have on Twitter.

Your worth surpasses all earthly things because in the eyes of the Lord God, you are loved.

And you are worth dying for, regardless of who you think you are,

Whether you model in a magazine or you model pottery with grandma,

Whether you're on the hot list or the not list, whether you're head cheerleader or a high school drop out,

Whether you're Miss Popular or you've never had anyone you can call a friend.

Whether you love yourself or love your life or you can't stand to look in the mirror and you feel as if everything in your life is falling apart,

Whether you're such a winner or you feel like the world's biggest failure,

Regardless of who you think you are, the reality is, is that you deserve someone who will give up their life for you.

Because you are powerful and strong and capable.

Read about the women in the Bible: Esther, Ruth, Martha, Mary.

These women changed the world forever.

And inside of you each and every one of you is a woman with that same power

And that same strength and that same world changing capability

And your responsibility is to find that woman and to set that woman free

This is who you are.

And any voices in your mind that try and tell you differently are from the enemy.

And the next time you hear 'em this is what you say: you say, na-uh, not me, not me Satan, I am a daughter of the living God.

Cherished, loved and adored above all things by the Creator of all things,

For the glory of Him who is greater than all things.

I AM AWESOME

AND PLEASE DON’T YOU FORGET IT.

Explanations

SMART (AmE) = Intelligent (BrE)

UNIQUE= /ju:ni:k/ Special, different in a good sense, not like everybody else.

WORTHY= /wɜ:*ðɪ/ If you are worthy of something, you deserve it.

PRECIOUS= /preʃəs/ Very valuable.

PEARL= /pɜ:*l/ A precious "stone" produced by oysters and used for jewellery (see picture)

STUNNING= Amazing, awesome, fantastic.

SCALE= A device for weighing things (see picture)

GUYS= (coll. esp. AmE) men, boys.

WISH THEY HAD YOU= Notice that the verb WISH is followed by a past tense.
- I wish it rained (I want it to rain)
- I wish I had a car (I want to have a car)

PRICE TAG= A small piece of paper attach to a product to show its price (see picture)

SURPASSES= Is bigger than, is more than.

EARTHLY= Things from the world, as opposed to spiritual things.

WORTH DYIG FOR= If you are worth dying for, you are so important and valuable that somebody could die for you. Notice that when WORTH is followed by a verb, the verb is in the -ing form:
- This is worth trying

REGARDLESS OF= In spite of; having no connection to.
- You can't fly like a bird, regardless of how much you try or wish for it.

WHETHER... OR= If... or.

MODEL= Here this verb is used with two different meanings:
1- To model for a magazine is to pose wearing something (clothes, jewellery, etc) for a photograph that will appear on a magazine. If you model like this, you are "a model", if you are one of the bests you are "a top model".
2- To model pottery is to make a pot using clay (see picture)

GRANDMA= (coll.) grand-mother.

THE HOT LIST= The list of important people.

THE NOT LIST= The list of rejected people, people nobody likes.

HEAD CHEERLEADER= A cheerleader /tʃɪə*li:də*/ is a girl who is part of the cheearleader group of girls that cheer their male football team. You see them in all American high school and they are usually the most "prestigious" girls at school because they are usually very attractive (see a picture of cheerleaders). The head cheerleader is the "president" of the group.

CAN'T STAND= If you can't stand to do something, you really hate doing it.

FALLING APART= If something (a building, etc.) is falling apart, it is breaking down, being destroyed. If you or your life is falling apart, you feel like your life is a complete disaster and it is getting worse and worse.

DESERVE= If you deserve something, you should have it, because you are good and valuable.

GIVE UP= If you give up something, you decide to stop having it. If you give up smoking you stop smoking forever. If you give up your life, you freely decide to die for some reason.

THEIR= Notice that here we use THEIR as the possessive form for SOMEONE. Since words like "someone" or "somebody" are not masculine or feminine, it is very common to use "their" or "them", etc. instead of the annoying dual forms: "his or her", etc.

CAPABLE= Able.

EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU= A very emphatic form of YOU, meaning: all of you, no exceptions.

TO SET THAT WOMAN FREE= If you set someone free, you allow them to be free or you fight for their freedom until they are finally free.

THE ENEMY= In Christian tradition (and some other religions too), "the enemy" is the devil, Satan, the evil forces around us.

'EM= (coll. conversational) Them.

NA-UH= (coll. esp. used by children) No.

THE LIVING GOD= A biblical term referring to God as the source of life and energy.

CHERISHED= Loved, appreciated, valued.

ABOVE ALL THINGS= More important than anything else.

AWESOME= /ɔ:səm/ Incredible, fantastic, really wonderful.

DON'T YOU= This is an imperative, so it should have no subject, but we often use the subject YOU with an imperative form for emphasis.
