Because access to education should be free and available to every human being, no matter their residence or their income.
Building, upgrading and maintaining this free website takes a huge lot of time, effort, dedication and money, so some kind of monetization is absolutely needed if only to cover part of that amount. You surely know of a lot of websites with so many ads and pop-ups and flashing publicity that it is bothering or hard to concentrate what you really need.
