Lola is very worried because she's got a wobbly tooth. Charlie will have to find a way to make her happy about that. Will he be able to?

Charlie and Lola is an animated television series based on the Charlie and Lola books written by Lauren Child.

I Do Not Ever, Never Want My Wobbly Tooth to Fall Out

I have this little sister Lola. She is small and very funny. And today, she's talking funny because she has got a wobbly tooth.
Is Lotta coming round? 'cos if she is coming, you can't take up all of the room, because Marv's coming round to race cars with me.
-- Yes. That's why I've got a pig. --
I can't understand you, Lola.

Sorry, I can't understand you.

Oh, you've got wobbly tooth!
And this is Lola's first ever wobbly tooth.
That's what I said! I've got a wobbly tooth! And I do not ever, never want my wobbly tooth to fall out!
Yeah. Three years ago, when I had my first wobbly tooth, I nearly swallowed it! But luckily I was eating a toffee, and my tooth got stuck in it.
When my tooth fell off, I was playing football. I hit the ball with my head. And my tooth just flew out of my mouth, and nearly lost it!
I don't ever, never want my wobbly tooth to fall out!

Which one is it, Lola?
This one.
Why don't you want it to fall out?
I just need to keep completely all my teeth.
Yes, but everyone gets new teeth, Lola. Those are just two baby teeth and they always fall out. And then you get new ones and they're your grown-up teeth.
Yeah, they're stronger. And you keep them for ever.
It's like mooses, and mooses' antlers fall off, and then they get new ones which are better and stronger.
But I'm not a moose, Charlie.

Me and Marv have lost lots and lots of teeth. Haven't I? How many teeth is it, Marv?
I think I've lost.... 54
Maybe not 54, Marv. Maybe more like six or seven.
Ah.
But it's my wobbly tooth and I want to keep it... wobbly.

Now, you click them in like this. It doesn't go like that, it goes like that.
Charlie, before Lotta comes, can you make me a fence for the pig?
Lola, we're building a track for a very important race. Can't you see?
Yes, but Marv can still do the track. And you can make me a fence. And maybe also a farmhouse...  and a pond?
I can't do all that! Maybe later I'll do your fence when we've had our race?
Good, come on. Now, now we can start.

It's Lotta! Lotta, I'm in here!
Lola, Lola!
Hello, Lotta.
What is it?
I've got some...
What is it, Lotta? What is it?
I've got... Look, my tooth fell out.
Wow, let me see! Did it just happen?
Yeah, yeah.
That's a huuuuuuge gap!
I can do this. [she whistles]

Wow!
I don't like whistling.
Did your mum and dad pull it out or did you pull it out on your own?
I did it on my own.

So what did you get?
I got...
What do you mean what did you get?
Well, the tooth fairy came.
Who's the tooth fairy?
The tooth fairy's the tooth fairy.
And what happened was... I lost my wobbly tooth, I put it under my pillow, then, in the middle of the night, the tooth fairy came. And then, then I got a coin under my pillow. And in the morning I bought this! for the farm. It's a chicken!
I didn't know there was a special fairy who gives you presents when your teeth fall out.
Yeah.
Why didn't somebody tell me this before?!

My wobbly tooth must completely come out now!
Yeah! Ha ha ha ha

Cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck.
Cluck cluck cluck.
When your tooth falls out, Lola, what are you going to get? Cause we need lots and lots of things. We need a horse and a sheep and a cow.
Uhm... I'm going to get a giraffe.
Here, chicky-chicky-chicky. Here, chicky-chicky-chicky.

Do you get giraffes on the farm?
Yes, you absolutely do, Lotta.
No, you don't.
You do, Marv. I've seen them.
First your wobbly tooth has to fall out.
How do I get my wobbly tooth to fall out?

Does it feel wobbly enough?
I think it's almost nearly about to come out.
Ahhh.
Charlie, you have a go.
Ahhh-ahhh-ahhh.
It is wobbling. But it's not coming out.
Has anybody got a toffee?
Ahhh.
You'll have to keep wobbling it.
I know. Oh.
Do you want me to twist it?
No!
Mum said absolutely no twisting.

It's still not coming out. I've been wobbling it for ages.
Keep wobbling.
I don't think it's ever going to come out.
Keep wobbling, Lola.
Ahhh.
Keep wobbling.

Ha! It's out! My tooth is out! My wobbly tooth is really out!
Yes, it's out!
That's a good one!
And now I can get my giraffe!

It's very absolutely precious, isn't it?
You have to put it under your pillow, in the very, very middle, and you must go to bed early and you must fall asleep quickly, or the tooth fairy won't come.
Yes, because I really want my giraffe.
I want the giraffe too.
Hmm...

There's my mum!
Quick, quick, quick!
When you come over to play tomorrow, I can have my giraffe and you can bring your chicken.
Yeah.
And they can be friends, can't they?.
Yes, yes, yes!
Bye, Lola.
Bye, Lotta, bye! Bye!

Charlie, I'm just going to wash my tooth and make it shiny and clean, and then I... Oh-h! My tooth has gone! It's not there!
Check again. It MUST be there.
Oh, no!
Maybe it's here.
No.
Is it under here?
No.
Oh, nothing.

Charlie!
Did you find it, Lola?
My tooth is completely gone.
Mum's checked the kitchen, I've done the bedroom and I think maybe it is lost.
But now... this tooth fairy won't come and I won't get a coin. I won't get my giraffe.
You can, you can write to the tooth fairy and explain.
I don't know how write to a fairy.
Fairies can read in every language. Come on. I'll help you.
But what if she doesn't believe me and I absolutely honestly DID lose my tooth? How will the tooth fairy know?
'And then I had a really good idea.'
If you go to sleep and dream really happy dreams, you'll smile, and then the tooth fairy will see the gap in your teeth, and then she'll know you really did lose your tooth.
OK, Charlie, I must have really happy dreams.

Ah-h!
Really happy dreams, really happy dreams, really happy dreams...

Hey, giraffe, have an apple.
Ha ha ha ha
Hold on tight.
It's all bumpy.
Ha ha ha ha
Ha-ha!
Aaaah!... Oh!

Charlie, the tooth fairy did come! Look! Come on, Charlie, hurry, hurry! I need to get a giraffe.

Yes! That's really good. I'll race you again.
Come on, Charlie.
OK, go!

What's your giraffe called?
Um, Giraffe.
What about your chicken?
It's called Chicken.
Oh, look, I think they're friends.
Maybe Giraffe and Chicken would like to meet Mr Goat.
Oh, we don't have a goat.
How will we get a goat?
We need more wobbly teeth.
Have you got any more wobbly teeth?
Nope. What about you?
I don't know. Try this one.
No.
What about this one?
Nothing.
Try that one.
No.
Well, that one.
No.
This one?
This one?
